There is a saying.. "To forgive is to forget".. such a cliché, but is it true? Or it's simply forgive but not forget?
I remember when I was in a youth camp, there is a certain topic about forgiveness.. I suggestively said that we should include the saying and as I presenting it.. A professional man with such authoritative voice said that "you can forgive but you cannot forget".. I was shock, hurt and disappointed.. but then I think why did he said that?, is there something he cannot forget yet he forgive? Or he still cannot forget because he didn't totally forgive it?
I'm still confuse.. yet all I know and learned that God forgive and erase it all.. meaning He forget and Love us..
I forgive and forget it.. those painful memory is fading.. fading.. taken away.. I will not allow myself to indulge in bitterness and unforgiveness.. I thank God for giving me such understanding and a heart.. I don't want to waste my life in negative thoughts, negative emotions..
It's better to shut down all emotions than feel it and put myself in danger.. <3
